The tourism complex La Iguana is an alternative for those people that are looking for a different way to enjoy theirs vacations, weekends or spare time, in contact with the nature, whithout stay to far from the capital. We offer you an amount of activities for the entertainment for people of all ages, from extrem sports to tranquil hikes for beautiful pathways.
La iguana is located in the comunity of Churuquita Grande, 14 km from Penonomé city and 2 hours and 20 minutes from the capital, the way between Penonomé and Churuquita Grande is in perfect conditions and also for all the route you can see beautiful landscapes with green mountains. If you don't have car the bus service is very good, the ticket from Penonomé to the place is of $ 0.70 and is available from the 6 a.m to 9 p.m.
The complex have a hotel area, rooms with capacity for 5 persons with full comfort, with prices of $ 25.00 for couple and $ 5.00 for each aditional person (the rooms with C/A has an extra charge).
Also, we have a restaurant with delicius tipical meals and a bar with nationals and internationals drinks.
We offer a good variety of activities in La Iguana, we have fields for traditional sports like soccer, basketball, volleybal and pin pon tables. Also, we have an area for practice tree climb, that combine different technics of mountain climbing, is very easy and safety to practice. We have a pool, three pathways with different difficulty levels, the pathway “los lagartos” is short and is designed for kids with an educational focus; the pathway of “Las brujas” is much longer and it have native vegetation, is perfect to see birds and little animals; and the pathway of “los chorros” is for persons more adventurers, is much longer and you have to cross a river named zaratí to finish in beautiful waterfalls.
The zaratí river pass throw the property and give you the opportunity to swim in it or get a time of relax reading a book and listen the river in his edge, all this and some other surprices you can find in this hidden paradise in the central chain of mountains in Coclé |
